About
Researching simultaneously in the fields of Cultural History and Musicology, I hope to find methodological alternatives for a broader aesthetic and historical understanding of Music. Presently I am working on my Masters dissertation about "Il Guarany", an opera by the Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Gomes (1836-1896). However, I am also interested in: Opera History, ranging from early recitative to contemporary opera; XIXth and XXth century Brazilian Music and Cultural History; XIXth and XXth century Music and Culture in general.
